Army Vacates Palk road Paddy Stores, Vavuniya

The Special Commandos of the Army had vacated the Paddy Store located at the Palk Road yesterday.They done so following continuous demands by several factions to vacate the store for it to be used to store paddy which is being harvested now.

Farmers had called for the vacation several times and the same call was sent by the Coordinating Committee through the District Secretary to the President and the Army HQ. However,  the Army which was refusing to get out citing security reasons had vacated yesterday following the intervention of the President and Prime Minister.
