In what attitude Sampanthan acting? Solution within 2016 is just a calculation: condemns Suresh

In the context of the Government not solved many of the important problems of Tamil people, in what attitude Sampanthan is acting?, asked Suresh Premachandran, the Leader of EPRLF. Sampanthan is indicating that the solution will be reached within 2016, because he is thinking that the Government will do according to his calculations, he has said.

Suresh held a media conference on the submissions of the committee on people’s opinion regarding the new constitution, yesterday at the Media Centre in Jaffna. In the proposals submitted by TPC and the NPC, it was stated that Tamil people are a national race, they have self determination rights, sovereignty  and that language based state should be formed. TPC’s proposals went further and requested Autonomy.

The report of the Opinion Seeking Committee does say anything about “National Race”. It had  used only “Minorities”. The report is implicating that Tamils should accept whatever given to them. They have also recommended that ” North – East merger should be removed from the proposals of Tamil Factions.

It is also notable that the TNA leadership had so far not said anything against the Committee’s proposals. The report of the committee is seems to a report for fulfilling the aspirations of the Sinhala people, not that of Tamil people, he said.
