Black Tigers Commemorated in Kilinochchi 

The Black Tigers day of the Liberation Tigers was commemorated sentimentally at the Kilinochchi office of the TNA day before yesterday.

The Black Tigers who fixed  a date and time and sacrificed their precious lives are annually commemorated on 5th of July on which day the first ever Black Tiger Miller dedicated his life for the people, exploding with a vehicle full of explosives inside the Nelliyadi MV where advancing Sri Lankan Army had camped.

This commemoration day was held at “ Arivaham”, the Kilinochchi office of the TNA very sentimentally.

The event organized by TNA MP, S.Sritharan, commenced at around 3p.m. The brother Major Nanthan who sacrificed his life in the victorious Elephant pass battle, lighted the Sacrifice Flame and garlanded the symbolic picture of Black Tigers. The parents, siblings and relatives of Maveerars and others paid floral tributes
