Bus services resumed to Kankesanthurai after 26 years

The Army FDL  at Maviddapuram was removed yesterday. Subsequently the bus service to Kankesanthurai was resumed yesterday after 26 years. A road block of the army was located near the Maviddapuram Kandaswamy temple.

This road block was removed yesterday. Lands up to KKS Railway Station were released by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence on day before yesterday. Consequently the sentry post was moved back, up to few meters away from KKS Railway station.  It had been announced that anybody can go through KKS main Raod upto ‘Thal Sevena’ without any hindrance.

After the war activities in 1990 transport services up to KKS was suspended. After maviddapuram was released , transport services were operated from Maviddapuram. The transport services are conducted from KKS Railway Station from yesterday, following release of lands near KKS Railway Station.
