The Central government does not go along with the activities of the NPC, accuses the CM

The NPC is prepared to work in conjunction with the Central government. But the Central Government does not go along with the NPC, accused the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

He commented as above to the Media Men after participating in a discussion held by the NPC Land Ministry yesterday, Saturday.

Elaborating further, he said, the Land problems prevailing in the NP were discussed in the yesterday’s meeting. Heads  of several Departments, Land Officers, Divisional Secretaries  were invited for the above discussion.We discussed about problems faced with the departments of Forest, Archaeological and Wild Life.

However the officers of the Central Government and Officers representing Mannar were not present. It was learnt that necessary permission had not been granted to them.

It was clear from this that a situation is prevailing where, the Central Government being not willing to work along the NPC. However  we are prepared to work with them, he said.
