Children of Political prisoners hold rallies in Vauniya and Jaffna

The children of the political prisoners held a rally today at around 10.00a.m. in front of Jaffna Secretariat calling for the release of their parents detained for a long time without any inquiries. Children of Tamil political prisoners and other school children took part in the rally.

Similar  rally were held by the children of political prisoners, calling for the release on their long detained parents in Irranai Illuppaikulam and Cheddikulam.

The children had initiated their struggle, in view of the Children’s day celebrated this month.

The children who are scheduled to stage their rally in front of District Secretariat  will proceed from there to the NPC secretariat and hand over a memorandum to the CM requesting to take suitable action to get their parents released.
