CM has all the rights to change Cabinet, Constituent parties accept in front of Sampanthan
The constituent parties of the TNA yesterday unanimously accepted in the presence of TNA leader Era Sampanthan that, the NPC CM, has all the rights to change or modify the Cabinet according to his power of legal discretion and that the parties will not intervene in his selections.
A meeting between the TNA leader, Leaders of the constituent parties of the TNA and the CM was held yesterday at the CM’s residence at Temple Road, from 6 p.m. to 09.20 p.m. It is in this meeting the above decision was taken. Further the Parties have also assured that they will not intervene in the change of the Cabinet.
Commenting on this later the CM said in view of the interest of Tamil people, the following decisions were taken:
- The constituents Parties expressed their consent for the CM to institute changes or modification using his power of legal discretion.
- He shall not be accused for effecting any change or Modification of the Cabinet.
Answering a question from the media CM said that changes will occur but it could not be said when.
To a question whether the change will complete or two Minster will be changed he went away smiling without providing and answer.
TNA Leader, Era Sampanthan,Leader of the ITAK, MAwai Senathyrasa, Leader of PLOT, T.Sitharththan, Leader of EPRLF, Suresh Premachandran, TELO Leader Selvam Adaikalanathan and its General Secretary, Sri Kantha participated in this meeting.
