The cultural relationship with trees will make the love on trees grow, says P. Ainkaranesan

The Leader of the Tamil National Green Movement, P.Ainkaranesan has said that the cultural relationship with the trees will make the love on trees to grow. The November Tree Planting activity is the activity of redeeming this lost cultural relationship.

The tree planting in the month of November is observed annually in accordance with a resolution adopted in the Northern Provincial Council.

Elaborating  further he said that the cultural link between the Tamils and tress is very sentimental.

The month of November is very appropriate to undertake tree planting as it contains the name of rain ( fhH).Beyond scientific reasons, November is a month with cultural importance in the lifestyle of Eelam Tamils. It consists of lighting of lamps at home and remembering our warriors with melting hearts.

Nationalism is a lifestyle intertwined with the habitat, language ,history, culture and beliefs of a nation. Thus the November tree planting not only cools the country but also the soul of the Tamil Nationalism, he has said.
