Dangerous weapons recovered from Muslim Restaurant in Kanagarayankulam /Vavuniya

Dangerous weapons were recovered from a Muslim Restaurant in Kanagarayankulam, Vavuniya.

Following a tip off received by Vavuniya Crimes Branch, the Vavuniya Crime prevention unit, STF – Puliyankulam and the Army took up a search operation yesterday evening.

While undertaking a search in the Restaurant, 02 hand grenades, 03 AP mines, 15 rounds and 02 RPG rounds were captured from the portico of the Toilet unit, while being buried in the ground under the Portico.

Police was taking action to take the captured articles to Kanagarayankulam police and to arrest the owner of the restaurant.

It is notable that various controversies were prevailing around the said Restaurant.
