Demanding International Investigation is against Sri Lanka Constitution : JVP Leader, in Jaffna

Demanding an International Investigation is against the Constitution of Sri Lanka. If it is to be done contravening the constitution will entail a Referendum. Hence everything should be done in accordance with the Constitution,  said the leader of the JVP, Anurakumara Dissanayake,  in Jaffna.

Hand bills were distributed in Jaffna town, with a view of making people aware of the impacts of the increased VAT imposed by the Good Governance Government. Anura Dissanayke also took part in the campaign and was distributing hand bills, when media men posed their questions to him and he said as above in answering their questions.

In a context where the Tamil faction demanding International Investigation on Sri Lanka and that International  judges should hear the case; and the Secretary general of the UN,UNHR Commissioner, Special Raporteurs of UN and international countries insisting that International Investigation at International standard should be held against Sri Lanka, the media men put the questions to him.

If an investigation should be undertaken it should be done in accordance with the internal Laws and Constitution. It is proper method to use existing mechanism to solve such complex problems, he said.
