Don’t destroy peace for Dollars – Protest Demonstration in Baticaloa

A protest Demonstration was undertaken in Baticaloa condemning the killing of two Police Officers in Vavunativu. This demonstration commence from the Gandhi Park in Baticaloa with the participation of representatives of Public Organizations and Political Parties.

The demonstrators held placards with following slogans and shouted following slogans:

Don’t destroy peace for Dollars!

Don’t put your hands on the peace of North and East!

Implement the law against those who act against peace!

Rally all to implement peace!

Several slogans against killing of the two Police men were shouted in the rally  by the participants of the Demonstration. Demands were made that the perpetrators should realize their crime and surrender to the police and relevant factions should take action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
