We don’t want enmity with Sinhalese. Political solution should be delivered, insists Era Sampanthan
A fair political solution should be delivered, insisted the TNA Leader Era Sampanthan yesterday. He further said that ,’we don’t like to have any enmity against the Sinhalese people nor Sinhala Leaders.
He said this while participating in the 70th Anniversary celebrations of Ilankai Tamil Arasuk Kadchchi and delivering his speech there. Continuing further he said that if we are to undertake activities that have to undertaken locally and internationally, people should give us their absolute mandate to us. No part of that mandate should go to any others.
All the promises given to us in the past should be fulfilled. We are working in accordance to that. International countries including India gave their support to destroy the LTTE on the promise of the government to find a just solution after destroying the Liberation Tigers.
Now, after silencing the Liberation Tigers, they are trying to escape from that promise. The International Community should not allow this, he said.
