Economic Centre to be located in Omanthai, announces, NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran
The Norther Province Chief Minister announced yesterday that Omanthai has been selected as the location for the Vavuniya Economic Centre.
A voting was held among the representatives of Northern people by the Chief Minister for determining the location for Vavuniya Economic Centre.
21 voted for Omanthai – including the CM, MPs, Sritharan, Sivasakthy Anandan T.Sitharthan, NPC Ministers, Ainkaranesan, Kurukularajah, NPC members, K.Vinthan P.Kajatheeban,K.Sarveswaran, P.Ariyaratnam, T.Gunaseelan, M.Antony Jeganathan,T.Raviharan, E.Inthrarasa, M.Thiyagarajah, S.Pasupathypillai, K.Sivajilingam, Mrs.Ananthy Sasitharan,V.Sivayogan , K.Tharmalingam
5 voted for Thandikulam: MPs, Mrs.Shanthy Sriskantharajah, K. Sivamohan, Leader of the House, C.V.K.Sivagnnam, NPC Minister, P.Sathyalingam and member A.Paramsothy.
13 abstained: MPs, Mawai Senathyrasa, E.Saravanapavan, M.A.Sumanthiran, Selvam Adaikalanathan, Charles Nirmalanathan, NPC Members, S>Sugirthan, E.Arnold, I.Asmin, Primus Siraywa, V.Kamaleswaran, K.Sayanthan, G.T.Linganathan and Minister P.Deneeswaran.
The CM also thanked everybody and specially the NPC opposition Leader S.Thavarasa and Y.Thavanathan, who labored for Omanthai being selected as the location for Vavuniya Economic Centre.
