European Union Analyses the Northern situation

The Chief Executive of the European Union, Polecode Peeri  has insisted that the Norther Provincial Council and the European union should act with more understanding, said the Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council, C.V.Wigneswaran.

The Chief Executive of the European Union, Polecode Peeri,  who is on a visit to the North had a meeting with the CM, C.V. Wigneswaran yesterday. CM said as above speaking to journalists after the meeting.

Elaborating further, the CM said that he had insisted with the Executive that the European Union taking action without consulting the Northern Provincial council is not a correct move. He had in return studied about European Union and the NPC acting with understanding.

Inquiring about how to work with the people of the North and he wide studied about the problems faced by Northern people. I have insisted with him that the central Government taking action without consulting the Provincial Council.

While studying about what sort of projects should be undertaken in the North, he also requested our Cooperation in projects to be undertaken in the future, said the CM. He also said that he had taken a decision to c ooperate with the European Union in the future.
