Fast unto Death into its 6th day despite Nov.7th deadline by president

Although the TPPs on a fast unto death, had been weakened 5 days fasting, they had categorically stated to The Minister for Resettlements D.M.Swaminathan that they cannot get deceived again accepting deadlines. We are struggling in anticipation of President’s direct announcement on the basis of General Amnesty.

The Minister for Resettlements D.M.Swaminathan met the TPPs in Anuradhapura and had told them a solution will be found through parliament for their problem and that will need a week and requested the to give up the fast.

We have placed our demand only to the President. Let him give us an overt assurance, the TPPs had said.
