Fasting protests for Missing Persons

A fasting protest was held in close proximity to Nallur temple calling for the release of missing persons. Several persons including the Member of the NPC  Ananthy Sasi tharan. Lot of intelligence operatives were massed at the site of the protest.

Another fasting was held in front of  Kanthaswamy Temple. The fasting protest was held from 9.30 to 2.00 p.m. The fasting was brought to a conclusion with Rev. Fr. Thurairatnam, the parish priest of Kilinochchi offering fruit drinks to fasters.MP, S.Sritharan, Member of NPC, Pasupathipillai,Members of the Pradeshiya Saba and Sahayam on behalf of Mannar Citizen Committee, participated in the Protest.
