‘Favourable position had developed in releasing the lands of Paravipanchan People: District Secretary
A favourable position has developed in releasing the lands owned by people in Paravipanchan, said district Secretary, Kilinochchi, Suntaram Aruminayagam.
The owners of the lands occupied by Army in Paravipanchan , Met the District Secretary at his office at around 11.00a.m., and handed over a memorandum to him.
After receiving the memorandum, he spoke to the people and told them as above. He further said that the people of Paravipanchan had made several attempts to get their lands released. We sent all their memorandums and given a good explanation to regarding their pathetic position we will also send this memorandum to higher ups he said.
However the people had vowed that if their demand is not granted by 25th they will recommence their protest.
