Federal System is the only stance of ITAK Central Committee decides

The ITAK had declared that its only stance is a Federal System with powers devolved on the basis of our sovereignty in the merged North and East. This is our stance in the past and now. Some people had engaged in vicious   and false propaganda that we have opted for unitary state in the constitution, said TNA MP, and spokesman of ITAK, Sumanthiran.

The Central Committee meeting of the ITAK was held in Vavuniya yesterday. Several important matters including intended solution proposal were discussed in this meeting.

Sumanthiran, speaking to the media after meeting, said that, some people are propagating that we have acceded that the war crimes investigation need not be an international Investigation. This is false. From the very start, we are insisting on International Investigation. There is no change in it. Not only our members but also our leadership did not have any alternative opinion.

The resolution adopted in the UN with the co-sponsorship of Sri Lanka should be implemented fully. There is no contradiction of opinion among those in our party, he said..
