Friction between TID operative and media men, in Vavuniya Commemoration

During the commemoration event in Vavuniya  friction was caused between Media men covering it and the TID operatives who photographed the media men.

the Maveerar day was commemorated in Vavuniya in front of the Pongu Thamil memorial  in front of the Vavuniya Municipal Council, yesterday evening, under the aegis of Vavuniya Citizens Group. During this event someone was photographing the participants and especially the media men.

Observing this the journalists had questioned the as to who he is and why he is photographing specific photograph.

Then the person had identified himself as a TID operative. The journalists insisted that their photos be erased. Thereafter , the operative had erased all photos he had taken and then the TID operative quietly left the venue.
