Get us justice through International Investigation: Kins of missing People request with tears (Video)

We have no faith in the internal investigations on missing people and abducted people. International  investigations should be carried with regard to these matters. All factions should exert pressure on international society, said the kins of missing and abducted people, with tears streaming from their eyes.

The International day of the people made disappear was celebrated in Mannar sentimentally in Mannar, from 1000 hours to 1300hrs yesterday at the De Sallal home located along Mannar – Thalai Mannar Road.

This event jointly organized by the Association for the people made to disappear in North Eastern Province and the Mannar Citizen’s Committee was held with president of the Mannar Citizen’s committee, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Sebamalai in the chair.

The relatives of the people made to disappear insisted that internal investigation mechanism is not needed.

Several hundred people participated in this event and remembered their kins. It was heart melting to see several relatives rented their sorrows aloud.

The relatives comforted each other , the problems confronted by the Tamil people during the War were enacted as a drama and finally prizes were distributed to the winners of the art competition  held in connection with the event.

Rev.Elil Rajendram, the joint spokesman of the Tamil Civil Society Organisation  participated as the chief guest. Rev.Fr. Thamilnesan, Vanni MP, Charles Nirmalanathan, NPC Member, and S. Primose Sirayva , participated as special guests along with relatives of the people made to disappear, religious dignitaries, politicians, social servers and laity and remembered the people made to disappear.
