Give the rights first. Let the mixed marriages happen later : CM in reply to Governor in Jamboree
Speaking at the 9th National Scouts Jamboree held at Jaffna Central College, the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran said in the presence of the President and the new Governor, Reginold Cooray , ” Give the rights of the Tamil People first and then let the mixed marriages happen.”
This he said in answer to the Governors earlier suggestion at the same Jamboree that mixed marriages is important for National Reconciliation.
I am not a person who is against mixed marriages. Both of my sons are married to Sinhalese girls. But I want say one thing. Give the rights of the Tamil people first. Give all the rights that should be given legally to them Let the mixed marriages happen later he said.
