Governor bans Cabinet meeting until further notice  – NPC administration in crisis

The NP Governor, Reginold Cooray has issued orders to the Chief Secretary that, the Cabinet meeting of the NPC shall not be held until further notice.

A  meeting was held in the NPC regarding the unusual situations that have risen in the aftermath of the Appeal Court judgment . In a context where it was said in the meeting that, there are possibilities of  the Administration being paralyzed, this order had been issued by the Governor.

The Appeal Court had issued interim injunction that Deneeswaran is continuing as a Minister. This has caused crisis in the NPC, with a situation where the cabinet meeting could not held.

Chief Secretary Pathinathan had written a letter and the Governor had ordered that  that the meeting shall not be held under further notice.

It is pointed out that the Administration of the NPC has run into crisis because of this problem has not been solved.
