Governor had no time to inspect illegal Vihare, NPC member and people waited in vain

Governor Reginold Cooray said yesterday that he did not have time to inspect the illegal vihare built at Kokkilai on private lands, as he promised, yesterday.

However, he attended the scheduled meeting held at Mullaitheevu and went direct from there to Vavuniya without going to Kokkilai. The NPC member T.Raviharan and the general public who were waiting for around 5 hours, at Kokkilai for the Governor went away disappointed.

The Governor further said that he does not have any immediate plans to go to Kokkilai.
