Govt appoints Committee to probe attack on Wlikade inmates

A  Committee to investigate the incident of attack on the inmates of the Welikade prison on November9, 2012. It was reported that 27 prisoners were killed and 40 inmates were injured following a clash between the Special Task Force and the inmates of the prison.

The Committee is headed by Retired High Court Judge Vimal Nambuwasam, Retired DIG Asoka Wijethilaka and Lawyer S.L.Liyanage.
