Grand Protest Rally by Fishermen of the North against Transgressing Indian Fishermen

A Protest Rally has been organized by the Northern Province Fishermen’s Federation, The Jaffna district Rural Fishermen‘s Societies Union, and the Jaffna District Rural Cooperative Societies Federation.

This Protest Rally will be started at 9.00 a.m. in front of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Jaffna, said the Secretary of the Federation, Supramanium. They have requested the cooperation of shops, Cooperative Societies, establishments, Cooperative Societies of Fishermen and federations of Fishermen’s societies, Transport organizations, Auto owners association , by way of exhibiting Black flags and joining them in their protest. Politicians , members of Volunteer organizations, employees of District and Divisional Secretariats, the University Society and Religious dignitaries are also invited to strengthen their struggle for their livelihood.
