Homage paid to assassinated Journalist Taraki
the 14th year commemoration of Assassinated journalist TARAKI and the innocent lives killed in the Easter Bomb blasts at various locations of Sri Lanka were at the Memorial for Assassinated journalists located near Jaffna Courts Complex at 3.30 p.m. on Monday.
The Memorial for the Killed journalists was garlanded and the memorial flame lighted. The Photograph of Taraki Sivaram was garlanded and sacrificial flame lighted.
Then followed the lighting of flames in memory of the innocent people killed in the suicide attacks in 8 locations and floral tributes were paid.
Large number of people including Journalists, Media activists, Politicians and the public participated in the homage paying event.
