Following this, the representatives of Valli North Resettlement Committee and the Fishermen Societies said, “We don’t want either Airport or reliefs. Our lands should be released. we are undergoing untold hardships in the transit camps. The second biggest fisheries harbour in Sri Lanka and 12 Km. long sea shore should be given to us for our fisheries activities. If our lands and the harbour are not given to us before the forthcoming New Year, we will all get together and go into our properties by land and sea.”

The above decision is to be sent to the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe immediately.
