Intensive Sinhala Colonization in Vanni – TNA to meet urgently the President with details
The TNA hierarchy has decided to prepare a document with complete evidence on planned Sinhala Colonization undertaken in Mulaitheevu and Vavuniya Districts in Vanni and to meet the President with the document within the 30th of this month. The Parliamentary group of the TNA met yesterday in Colombo at 10.30 a.m.with Leader of the TNA Era Sampanthan in chair to discuss about the planned Sinhala colonization undertaken in the border villages of Vavuniya and Mulaitheevu districts and the Land disputes in the Northern province.
Details about the lands of Tamil people of Mulaitheevu District robbed by L,K, and J zones of Mahaweli Development and the planned Sinhala Colonization that is being carried in the border villages of Vavuniya District and the overall impacts of such colonizations on the Tamil people were discussed in this meeting and it was decided to prepare a document about them and meet the President with them before 30th.
A committee including MPs, M.a.Sumanthiran, Shanthy Sriskantharajah, P.Sathiyalingam, Sampanthan’s personal Secretary and former GA, Shanmugam, professors, retired Land Commissioners and state officials had been appointed to prepare the said document.
It was also decided that a group of MPs and MPcs of TNA should meet the President, before the 30th.
Leader of TNA, Era Sampantrhan, M.A.Sumanthiran, Charles Nirmalanathan, S.Sritharan, Shanthy Sriskantharasa, E.Saravanapavan, Leader of ITAK, Mawai Senathyrasa, and S.Sivamohan and MPc P.Sathiyalingam on behalf of NPC participated in the above meeting along with Professors and state Officials. This meeting was held at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
