Interim Injunction on Manivannan to participate in the JMC Sittings

The Colombo High Court has issued an Interim Injunction yesterday Friday, on the National Organizer of the Tamil National People’s Front and a member of the Jaffna Municipal Council, AAL Visvalingam Manivannan to participate or vote in the sittings of the Municipal Council.

President’s Council, M.A. Sumanthiran who appeared for the Plaintiff argued that the member Manivannan was not residing within the boundaries of the Jaffna Municipal Council.

After considering the submissions of both parties, the panel of Two High Court Judges issued an interim injunction applied by as one of the reliefs by the Plaintiff, on  Manivannan to participate or vote in the sittings of the Municipal Council.
