ITAK has cheated us, accuses Sitharthan , the Leader of PLOT

The Leader of Plot and MP, Sitharththan has accused that the ITAK had used its power to cheat the PLOT in the matter of seat distribution for the forthcoming LG Election.

The leaders of the constituent parties and members met in Colombo recently and had discussions to solve the conflicts that had risen in the distribution of seats for the forthcoming LG Elections.

At the end of the discussions, the party leaders jointly released a media statement that, all differences had been eliminated and the parties will face the elections jointly. The distribution of seats also were discussed on that day.

Particularly it was stated in the memorandum of understanding that First two years of the Vali-West PS will be under Plot  and last 2 years under the ITAk. Likewise it was stated the first two years of Manipay PS will be under and last two years will be under Plot and all three party leaders had placed their hand to this document.

In this context in a meeting convened at the ITAK, ITAK had announced that they are going to take all four years of Vali- West PS. The PLOT disappointed by this announcement had announced that they cannot accede to this and that the ITAK had taken this decision using their power.

The PLOT leader when contacted over this has said that, they agreed on the distribution and now they had cheated us using their power.
