Kepapulavu elders give up fast unto death on promise by Sampanthan
6 elders from Kepapulavu who were planning to go on a fast unto death from today had given up the idea on a promise from Sampanthan, Leader the TNA.
The Kepapulavu villagers had engaged in several protest demonstration and fasting protest earlier demanding that they allowed settle in their own lands. These elders started a fast on 24th March, but gave it up on a promise from CM, C.V.Wigneswaran. Although he had appointed 3 retired District Secretaries, three months had passed without any tangible results and planned to go on a fast from today.
However, after the elders gave up their intent following a telephone conversation with Sampanthan
