Kilinochchi to be identified as Ayurvedic Capital, 100 acre allocated in Kalmadu

 

 

Kilinochchi District had been identified as the capital of Ayurvedic Medicine and that 100 acre land had been earmarked for this, said the NP Minister of Health, P.Sathyalingam. He further said that 75 acre will be used for herbal farming and 25 for production of Medicine.

He was speaking in the foundation laying ceremony of the Ayurvedic Hospital at Cheddikulam, Vavuniya, where he participated as the Chief Guest.

Two and a half years had passed after the formation, and nobody can deny that lot of development had been achieved in the past years. We cannot neglect the Ayurvedic sector. We must preserve it from extinction. The assistance and advice from the Tamil Nadu Sidha Medcine research Centre with regard to this, he said.

Several people participated in this event including Selavam Adaikalanathan and Provincial Commissioner Indigenous Medicine, Mrs.S.Thurairatam.
