Let compete in the general election and set a new government! Medamulana Mahinda said

Let us compete in the upcoming general election and set up a new government. This no one can stop it. This the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today while addressing in a meeting held in front of his home in Medamulana.

He further said,

People have called for me to contest in the election. I can not ignore their options. I do not have the appropriate rights. So I am inviting all the people to join hand and support us to protect the party and the country in 2015.

The The Sri Lanka Freedom Party, the United People’s Freedom Alliance, the JVP and UNP supporters for the country’s security and future should join hands with us. During our regime the revenge, anger such character were thrown off but the current the United National Party government has brought back all that again.

We can not forget the injustice done by the United National Party in 1989 and 1990. We can not forget the betrayal done to the nation 11 years ago to the LTTE. On 9th January I left respecting the decision of the people, that will be a historic event in Sri Lankan politics. Even the International countries were shocked when they came to know. During my tenure there was no shortage for various developments such as airport opening, port opening, high-speed road.

But the present government changed its plans. During my regime the Sri Lanakan people were honoured seeing the development. The people who went aboard came back again.

Colombo city was announced as the one of the fastest developing city. But today’s government is projecting that all this was their program. Therefore based on these issues and mainly for the development of the national security of the country, to raise the country raise high with the help of Tamil, Sinhalese, Muslim, Burgher, Malay and all communities I will contest in the upcoming election. For this all should join hands with us.
