Let them give no lame excuses for not releasing lands: CM tells to Secretary of State, Norway

They cannot repeat lame excuses for not releasing our lands, the NPC CM had said to the Secretary of State for the Ministry of External Affairs of Norway, when he met him yesterday Morning. During this meeting he cited the incident of Army Commander refusing to release Myliddy and pointed out that, such situations are prevailing here. He had insisted that this type situation should prevail anymore here.

Speaking to the media after this meeting, he said that, A news item had been published that the Army had expressed vehement opposition for releasing Myliddy. The people of Myliddy had lost their livelihoods long ago and eagerly awaiting the release of Myliddy. Not releasing Myliddy is regarded as an injustice to those people.

Earlier Myliddy and Mirissa in the south provided the bulk of Fish harvest of Sri Lanka. It is really an injustice to keep such a fishery Harbour closed for petty reasons. They are saying that LTTE fired on aircrafts from Myliddy. War  was concluded 7 years ago. You cannot keep on telling lame excuses whenever it comes to doing something good to us. This will definitely affect Reconciliation, he said.
