Liberation Tigers should come back, says state Minister Wijekala Maheswaran

If the Tamil women and female children are to return home safely and alive, then the hands of the Liberation Tigers should be strengthened in the North. That is our wish, said the State Minister Wijekala Maheswaran.

She participated in the President’s People Service – 8 held at the Weerasingam Hall yesterday and said as above while speaking there.

Good conduct prevailed on our soil before the war, during the period of Liberation Tigers. We felt it sentimentally. The current situation entails the re-creation of Tigers here. Drugs abuse have been deliberately spread in the North.

While graduates are going for Mason work and market business southern politicians are appointing their cohorts to vacancies in the North. Our youth are affected by this. The president had blocked the aid scheme for rehabilitated militants, for filling his vote bank.

My party and I are prepared to make the people here available with needed services, she said.
