Military domination in Pre-Schools too

It has been ordered that the children studying in preschool in Vanni which are under control of Civil Security Force should wear uniforms with military emblems while engaging in studies. This is seen as a precursor to drag the student towards the army.

The Militarization covertly carried during Mahindha’s regime is overtly done in Maithri’s Good governance.

* Land grabbing by army is continuing.

* Army camps located on poeople’s lands are being strengthened.

*War affected unemployed youth were  taken in with promises of employment in CSF are now being engaged in Farm work in Army Farms under the strict monitoring of  the Army

* Army is keeping the preschools run by them under their direct control and providing guidelines on what should be taught.

Now they have ordered the children attending their school should wear uniforms desined by them with Army symbols on them which had to be purchased at a cost of 600/= by the parents.

The parents say that they sent their children to study in the preschool, not join the Army.

They insists that Minister Kurukularajah who is saying for a long time that he will bring the preschools underthe NPC should take immediate action to do so.
