After much uncertainty NPC Cabinet will swear in today
The controversies that prevailed in the NPC regarding Ministerial posts, finally has reached an end today. A 4 member Cabinet with will be sworn in today.
Confusions and uncertainties were prevailing amidst discussions with some constituents parties and confrontations with some constituent parties, regarding the removal of accused Ministers and appointing new Ministers. Two ministers resigned immediately after CM requesting all ministers to resign. Another Minister resigned later but another Minister Deneeswaran is adamantly refusing to resign to date. However the TELO had suspended Deneeswaran for 6 months as CM is facilitated by this suspension to make new Cabinet to take over.
Meanwhile, K. Sarweswaran and Ananthy Sasitharan took over as Minister of Education and Minister of Children and Women’s Affairs respectively.
Following the CM selecting Dr. Kunaseelan (Mannar District) as Minister of Health and K.Sivanesan (Mulaitheevu District) as the Minister of Agriculture, the new cabinet is to be sworn in at 2 pm in the Governors Secretariat, by the Governor.
