“ Neduntharakai” ferry back in service

In a context where the state transport services for Delft passengers being inoperative, the transport of the passenger boat, “ Neduntharakai” has been re-commenced yesterday.

The fuel for undertaking this service had been obtained from Road Transport Authority.

The  services of the “ Neduntharakai” which is being maintained by the Delft Pradeshiya Sabha was suspended due to high fuel costs.

“Vadatharakai”, Neduntharakai” and Kumuthiny” were engaged in transport services from Kurikadduvan and Delft . In a context where the Vadatharakai being under repair, Kumuthini also was rendered unserviceable by the Purevi Cyclone, Neduntharakai is being put into service.
