I have never criticized the Solution Proposals of NPC, says the Northern Governor

The Northern Governor had sent the audio recording of a media meeting, in which he was alleged to have criticized the Solution Proposals of Northern Provincial Council.

He had done this to clarify that he had not criticized the Solution Proposals of the Northern Provincial Council. The Solution Proposal for Tamils, drafted by the NPC was adopted as a resolution calling for a solution based on Federal System, in the NPC and handed over to several factions.

In this context, it had been in the Media that the Northern Governor had criticized the Resolution in a Media Conference he held in Colombo. Media had quoted him as saying ‘North is moving towards a  burial ground’

Attorney at Law Srikantha, the Secretary of the TELO, held a Media Conference in Jaffna and said, the Governor cannot criticize the Resolution of the NPC and that the President should recall the Governor.

In this background, the Governor had sent the full audio recording of his Media Conference to the NPC Secretariat in clarification of what he had said in the Media Conference.
