New Photo Evidence: Balakumaran and his son seen in Sri Lankan military custody
A photo taken by Sri Lankan military shows LTTE senior member V. Balakumaran and his son in Sri Lankan military custody. In the photo, released by Ex BBC Correspondent Frances Harrison on her Twitter , Balakumaran is seen sitting on a small wooden piece in front of soldiers who seem to be interrogating him.
Already, in 2010 a photograph of V. Blakumaran and his son was published by media in which both sitting on a bunk after they surrendered to the Army.
According to the report released by The International Truth and Justice Project – Sri Lanka (ITJP) today, V. Balkumaran surrendered to the Sri Lankan Army with an elderly Catholic Priest, Father Francis Joseph. Witnesses last saw him 1500 on 18 May 2009 in custody, also in Mullaitivu Katcheri Administrative Office Hall.
