No allocation to the North was returned to Treasury: CM, Wigneswaran

In the NPC Financial activities for 2015 of the NPC, no finances allocated for the North had ben returned to the treasury, announced the Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council.

Elaborating further in the media issue he had sent to the Media, he has said that, contradictory statements regarding the Financial Expenditures of the NPC for the year had been intentionally or without understanding, had been spread among the public. This information say that large amounts of money allocated to te NPC had been returned to the Treasury.

It is the prime responsibility of the us, the people representatives, to make the people aware with the real situation to the people and hence, the report of the Deputy Chief Secretary(Finance) for the year 2015, is being made public.

The Total allocation 2015  is Rs.21349.62 Million and total Expenditure is Rs.21027.12 and the balance could be spent within 180 days , as these allocation will not come under Financial year activities.

On behalf of the NPC I wish to inform the public that in the financial activities of 2015, no allocation had been returned to the Treasury, he had said.
