Minister of health, Rajitha Senaratne , while stating that no war crimes occurred in the country and hence war crimes investigation is not needed, he also raised a question as to who will investigate the war crimes of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

The Minister on a two day visit to the North met the Northern Governor Reginold Cooray, NPC Minister of Health P.Sathiyalingam, the Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, S.Sathiyamoorthy, the Secretary to the Governor, E.Elangovan and doctors at the Governors Secretariat yesterday at around 10’o clock.

In a meeting with the media men following the above meeting, he answered as above to the Media men who asked whether he accept the International Judges.

He further said, no war crimes occurred in Sri Lanka. I will never accept war crime. If that is so, so perpetrated the war crime? Who will investigate the war crimes of the LTTE?

So we are to pursue a good solution leaving all these. We will get equal status to people of all races. That will be sustainable one.

We intent to devolve powers to the PCs. We intent to build up the livelihood by undertaking the development in areas affected by war.

All people have the identity as a Sri Lanka. That is our achievement. We are not reminding the past, he said.
