Northern Power Closed: Army also vacated

Following the waste oil crisis, Northern Power station was closed and sealed by the Registrar of Mallakam court with the cooperation of the police yesterday evening, after expelling the staff and the army men on guard duty. The Mallakam Judge S.Satheeskaran ordered the closure of this power station yesterday.

Following the order, the Court Registrar, who went to the said company with the assistance of the police, had closed the power station, after expelling all the staff and the army men on guard duty and sealed the gate of that complex.

Presidents council, Shantha Abimannasingam, Attorneys – at – law, J.Jeyaruban,P.Partheepan and K.Suhash were present at the spot on behalf of the Complainant. On behalf of the Respondents, Attorneys – at – law, Vasantha Fernando Mrs. Sivapatham on behalf of Northern Power and Mrs.T.Gajpriya on behalf of Uthuru Janani were present at the spot.
