Open Kepapulavu road for Public, District Secretary writes to Defence Ministry

Mulaitheevu Government Agent Rupawathy Ketheeswaran hadwritten to the Defence MInistry to open the Mullaitheevu – Kepapulavu – Puthukudiyippu which is essential for the travelling of  Kepapulavu people.

The GA said that, although money was allocated and received , the repair could not b effected as the Army is refusing to 2 km long stretch on the Mullai – Puthukudiyirruppu road and as a consequence of which the people of Kepapulavu people had to trek 5 extra Km. on an alternative road constructed by the Army.

“ We have asked the Defence Ministry to open the road at least for the public as a first step and that if the road is opened for the public they are ready to repair the road immediately.
