Opinions of Tamils should be incorporated in the New Constitution, says Sritharthan
TNA Parliamentarian S.Sritharan has said that the New constitution should be drafted taking in the opinion of Tamils.
A zoom conference was held day before yesterday presided by TNA MP, Sivagnanam Sritharan regarding the new Constitution and the Proposals of the Tamils under the aegis of the ITAK Kilinochchi Branch.
The Constitutions drafted so far have not reflected the opinions or feelings of Tamil People. They were drafted in order to satisfy the thinking of Sinhslese leaders and the Sinhala people.
Even the matters related to rights of the Tamil people proposed by Sinhala leaders were not included in them.
The youth took up arms because Tamil people were excluded in the constitutions.
The opinions of Tamil Leaders, Tamil intellectuals and Tamil people should be sought while drafting the new Constitution, he said.
Several people including the Leader of ITAK, Mawai Senathyrajah, Actg. Secretary, Sathiyalingam, MPs, M.A.Sumanthiran, Chanakyan, Kalaiarasan, chairmen of PSs and members participated in this discussion.
