Palaly Airport could be upgraded without robbing people’s land: CM to Indian Deputy Consul
If Palaly Airport could be upgraded without grabbing the lands of Tamil people, we will not oppose the project, the CM had told the Indian Deputy Consul Nadarajan.
A group of Indian experts who came to Palaly Airport for analyzing the possibility of transforming Palaly into a Regional Air Port, led by the Director of Chennai Air port, Deepak Sasthri, had recommended that the transformation could done with some sophisticated alterations to the existing facilities and additional runways or grabbing of lands of people forexpansion is not necessary.
Reminding of this recommendation to the Deputy Consul, the CM had told the Deputy Consul that if the upgrading does not need grabbing of land he has no objection to the Project.
