Pongal festival in the Historical Kurunthoor malai Aathi Sivan Temple

Kumulamunai  youths assembled at Kurunthoor malai and  made Pongal Worship  for Aathy sivan and Aiyanar at the Temple there, yesterday.

In these worships, NPC Member Thurairasa Raviharan also participated with the youth.

It is notable that a case in Mulaitheevu courts against 2 Buddhist Monks and Archaeology Officer for attempting to place two Buddha statues in Kurunthoor malai and that the court had granted permission to worship at the Kuruynthoor malai where Tamil people traditionally had worshipped.
