Project for releasing fish-lets in Tanks inaugurated

The Project for releasing fish-lets to the Tanks under Thunnukkai Divisional Secretariat was inaugurated yesterday. WFP has initiated a project to release 150,000 fish-lets each into Therankandal Kulam, Aiyankankulam, Aalankulam, Ampalaperumal kulam, Thenniyankulam and Koddaikaddiyakulam.

As a first stage 75,000 fishlets were released into Therankandal Kulam day before yesterday.

In this event presided by the Thunnukkai Divisional Secretary, Lathumeera, the District Secretary, Kilinochchi, K Wimalanathan participated as the Chief guest

Several state officials, WFP officials participated in this event.

It is notable that fish-lets will be continued to be released in the above said tanks.
