Protest Rally against Mulaitheevu Land grab, TNPF calls full support
A protest Rally under the aegis of Anti-Mahaweli Tamil Heritage Council will be held 28th in protesting the Mulaitheevu land grab by the Mahaweli Authority.
Commencing at the PWD Junction at around 11.00 a.m. , it will proceed to Mulaitheevu District Secretariat.
Tamil people were driven out of Manalaru or the ‘Ithaya Bhoomy’ by Military violence in 1984. The Lands of the Tamil people had been acquired in the guise of Mahaweli Development and distributed to Sinhalese Colonists. This is carried out even today.
The president denied knowledge of any Sinhala Colonization and had promised to take action against if there are any.
While pledging full support to this Rally the TNPF had called upon everyone to participate in it.
