Recipient of the Pre-fabricated house builds his own kitchen outside for cooking
The recipient of the Pre-Fabricated house provided by the Ministry of Re-settlement at Kopay, is building his kitchen outside the house, in cement, for the purpose of cooking. He is undertaking the construction on his own finances.
First of the 65,000 houses to be built in the North by Ministry of Re-settlement , it was handed over by the president on the 12th March to the current owner. As cooking cannot be done inside with firewood, the owner is building a kitchen outside on his own.
Earlier, TNA had rejected this house saying that cooking cannot be done inside the said house and the inmates cannot afford to buy cooking gas after first supplied by the Ministry. But the Minister countered it saying that 3000/= is necessary to buy fire wood per Month while the gas will cost only 1,450/= .
